In her private practice work, Jamie works with adolescents (12+) and adults. She has experience working with a range of concerns including: mood, anxiety, sleep, trauma, substance use, gender identity, and sexual orientation. Jamie is also available for gender assessments for individuals who may require this as part of their gender affirmation/transition process. Jamie draws on evidence-based treatments such as CBT, ACT and Schema Therapy when working with clients. Jamie is also trained in eye movement desensitisation and re-processing (EMDR). Jamie uses these evidence-based approaches to collaboratively develop an individually-tailored treatment plan suited to the needs of each client. Her approach is to consider mental health concerns in the broader context of an individual’s life, personal narrative, and current circumstances.
Jamie is a proud co-host of the Meet Q podcast where Dr. Dave Demmer (clinical psychologist), Dr. Tom Dickson (GP), and Jamie discuss the science and research around various mental health topics in a real conversation about LGBTQIAP+ mental health.
